When I say “new” I mean new to my routine, as two out of three of these cleansers have been around for a while, but I’ve only been familiar with all of them for a short time. I do love a good cleanser, from something punchy and smoothing to prepare my skin for make-up in the mornings, to the soothing, balmy night time cleansers, I love them all and, as is the case with anything that falls under the beauty umbrella, I have far, far too many. Here are three I’m really enjoying using at the mo:
Starting with the newest one to launch which is the Rodial Super Acids Xtreme Cleanser which is a fruity number that gently exfoliates skin. I wasn’t expecting to like this cleanser as much as I do, but it’s a great morning cleanser that’s powerful enough to leave skin feeling smooth, whilst also being gentle enough to not make skin look red or over exfoliated. It’s £29 here – link.
If acids aren’t your thing but you still like skin to feel smooth and soft, the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser might be for you. It works as either an AM cleanser for pepping me up for the day with it’s uplifting cucumber scent, or as stage two of my PM cleanse when my skin is acting up, spot-prone or oilier than usual. Even though it’s mildly foaming, it doesn’t strip my skin and is actually gentle enough for removing eye make-up too. I use this more often in the AM but if you want to streamline your routine then it’s fine for both. You can find out more about it here – link – but you’ll need to pop in-store or call up the Fresh store to buy it.
Finally on to my favourite of the bunch, which is the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. It comes out of the pump as a gel, but quickly melts down to a lovely, light balm that feels amazing on the skin and is a great choice for anyone who likes the idea of a balm cleanser but worries it might be too heavy for their skin type. This is a truly indulgent balm that cleanses skin effectively and leaves a healthy glow once rinsed off. It’s got quite a cult-following and with good reason, since it’s a truly lovely cleanser that I find myself reaching for everyday as my second PM cleanse. It’s £28 here – link.
