It’s been a tricky ol’ week with my laptop dying, hence the lack of posts, but I now have a new laptop that feels very strange – the keyboard feels all wrong, even though it’s much jazzier than my old one – so stay with me whilst I get used to a new computer and try and catch-up on content! Thankfully, there’s plenty of Christmassy joy to get excited about, such as the Boots No7 Christmas Collection 2015.
I think I’ve said it before, but one thing I really like about No7 collections is that they’re usually quite minimal, and focus on bits and bobs that you can add to your existing collection to update it, which I think is very smart and in keeping with their customer needs. There are seven products that form the collection – some new and some existing – starting with lips and tips; the limited edition Gel Look Shine Nail Colour comes in two shades as part of the collection, either Treasure (gold), or Red Velvet, which matches well with the special edition Moisture Drench Lipstick in either Soft Paprika or Pillarbox. I’m welcoming the idea of red lips and tips as I think it’s such a glamorous look that’s perfect for the party season.
Having said that, the products that I’m most excited about are these two beauties, starting with the Shimmering Glow Palette. No7 do these beautifully presented shimmer palettes so fantastically well, so I look forward to seeing each new one as they release it – I remember being absolutely obsessed with the Vital Enlightening Highlighter way back when in 2012. The Shimmering Glow Palette is extremely sparkly and fairly neutral, so it would probably work best as a body shimmer rather than a facial one, however, it can do both, just use it sparingly! Finally, the Stay Perfect Eye Shimmer is very exciting – it’s like a budget take on the Bobbi Brown Cream Shadows so I really hope they add to the colour line-up, as so far, the only shades is this one, which is a mid brown.
