If you’re struggling with the mean, cold month of February and need something beautiful and brightening to lift your mood, say “hello” to the latest launch from Shay & Blue, English Cherry Blossom, which is a pretty, feminine fragrance that’ll lift your spirits in no time.
Shay & Blue English Cherry Blossom is a bright and pretty floral fragrance with a good hit of fruit and just the tiniest bit of woodiness at the base which stops it getting too sickly or Pot-Pourri-like. On first spritz you’re immediately hit by the fruitiness thanks to the Bergamot and Green Mandarin. At the heart there’s a great mix of fruit and florals with Cassis, Honeysuckle, Black Cherries and Fig. Finally at the base there’s Iris and Woods which both perform as great grounding for the rest of the florals and fruit.
The Shay & Blue English Cherry Blossom settles down into a lovely light fragrance that lasts well and is grown-up girly, thanks to not going overboard with the floral notes. It’s just complex enough without being too OTT and it’s one I’m reaching for quite a bit at the moment. It reminds me a little of one of the Marc Jacobs Sorbet scents as it delivers the same great balance of fruit and floral without overpowering. It’s available now for £30 for 30ml, or £55 for 100ml here – link. I’ve just noticed that you can buy a sample for £5 which is a great way to try out the scent without committing to the full bottle. Check out the sample selection here – link.
