I remember when Charlotte Tilbury first launched her exciting beauty collection and how crazy bloggers went for all the newness. Can you believe that in September it’ll be four years since it launched?! I never had the opportunity to get carried away with the launch as it was only available in Central London stores (such as Selfridges) and I don’t often go Central London shopping. Having said that, I did get a Selfridges voucher a while ago and went straight to the Charlotte Tilbury counter at the nearest possible opportunity! Recently, the brand has become a lot more accessible by launching into Fenwicks, so I now have a local Charlotte Tilbury counter at Brent Cross. Dangerous territory…
The Charlotte Tilbury The Complete Natural, Glowing Look is an investment set that’s perfect if you’re like me and prefer a natural look. There are four products included in the set, all of which are the sort of shades that flatter and gently define rather than anything too statement, so describing them as “The Complete Natural, Glowing Look” is spot-on as that’s exactly what you get. The set contains the Instant Look in a Palette: Natural Beauty, Full Fat Lashes, Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk and K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Bitch Perfect lipstick.
There are certain Charlotte Tilbury products that have become pretty iconic, such as the Lip Cheat Lip Line in Pillow Talk and the K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Bitch Perfect lipstick, so I was excited to see a set that contained these two products, especially alongside the Instant Look in a Palette which I wanted from the first moment I saw it. Once you’ve applied your base and brows, everything else you need is included in the set, and the Instant Look in a Palette contains three eyeshadows, two cheek colours, one bronzer and one highlighter. I’m going to be featuring the palette in my Palette Love series shortly, so I’ll go into a more in-depth review then.
The whole look is a brilliant, brightening, everyday look that can be adapted depending on what you like. I actually watched a video on the look on the Charlotte Tilbury site to get a real feel for how Charlotte wants the products to be used, but obviously you can do pretty much whatever you like. There isn’t a product I don’t like in the set and I’m really impressed with the Full Fat Lashes mascara, which is a buildable product that can be used to gently enhance lashes, or built-up to ‘wow’ lashes.
I love, love, loooove the duo of lip products, which are the sort of colours that really demonstrate the power of lipstick as they completely lift my face and give it a lot more warmth and colour – I keep using the word “brightening” but that’s exactly what the set does; it brightens the whole face and just makes you look healthy and bright (there it is again!) rather than made-up. This is a perfect introductory set to the Charlotte Tilbury make-up range as it’s four fabulous products that’ll easily slot into your existing looks and routines, but it’s also great for anyone who loves their make-up; the palette alone is something very special but add the other three products and you have a pretty much perfect make-up set. It’s £100 (individually the products come in at £112) so it’s not a huge saving, but all the products work so well together that it really is a great set to invest in. You can find it here – link.
