It’s rare that I’m taken back by luxury and I’ve become horrendously cynical over the past few years, but I really was gobsmacked when I walked into the treatment room for my Omorovicza Mother’s Day Facial at the ever-so-fancy Four Seasons in London. From now until the 2nd April 2017, Omorovicza have taken over one of the treatment rooms on the 10th floor of this stunning hotel, and the Chelsea Physic Garden have designed the area so the whole experience is truly immersive.
The treatment itself is designed as a little treat for mums and is a great option if you want to treat your mum to something a bit different, especially as they’re keeping it open and available until early April, so it’s ideal if you’ve run out of ideas and need something fast!
The facial itself has been specially created for the event, and consists of a 30 minute treatment that starts with a deep cleanse using the cult Hungarian Moor Mud, followed by the Gold Hydralifting Mask, a beautifully hydrating product that smells sweetly of roses and leaves skin feeling plump and firm – you’ll want your own jar after this! Whilst the mask is doing it’s thing, you get a relaxing head massage which is just amazing. The final stage is the application of the new neck cream and a quick taster of the Hungarian facial massage, which is what the Omorovicza facials are famous for. Of course the little taster isn’t long enough and it just reminds me of how much I enjoyed my first facial with the brand last year.
Of course the facial is lovely – I would expect nothing less from Omorovicza – but what really takes the experience above and beyond the usual is the venue; I’ve never experienced anything like it for a treatment and I was truly blown away! The room itself contains floor to ceiling windows that overlook Park Lane, so you can see bits of Hyde Park and The Serpentine, and as you can see from my pictures, I was particularly lucky as the sun was out and the view was just phenomenal. The room is set up so you’re looking right out into London as you settle into your heated bed for your treatment, and it’s like nothing else I’ve experienced – it’s the sort of thing any mother would absolutely love and the inclusion of the design by Chelsea Physic Garden makes it a really special experience.
