Every few months we got a little lot of newness from tarte at QVC UK, and it’s always something to look forward to as the edited collection is usually a total joy, with the current new arrivals proving to be no exception. There are six new things to check-out, five of which I have here. The only one I don’t have is the Limited Edition Maracaju Gold Facial Oil, which appears to be the old style Maracaju oil just with added gold flakes. You can find it here – link – for £35.
A bit of a bargain, the 5 Piece Pretty Things & Fairy Wings Brush Collection contains a very pretty set of (very Instagrammable) brushes including the Eyeshadow Brush, High Beam Highlighter Brush, Chiselled Cheek Brush, Domed Powder Brush and Diffuse Highlighter Brush, all of which have metallic handles and ferrules with stars at the end of them. Not the most practical when it comes to storage, but they look gorgeous, so who cares? The set costs £19 which is very good value and you can find them here – link.
The Glide & Glow Buttery Lipstick Duo are a pair of hydrating lipsticks in shades Rosy View (mid-toned muted pinky nude) and Berry Cruiser (brown-leaning berry) which both come presented in very pretty packaging. The formula is lovely – it feels very balmy and nourishing, yet the product is surprisingly pigmented and stays in place for longer than your typical balmy lipstick. I don’t normally love tarte lipstick shades as I find they don’t really cater to my tastes, but the Rosy View has had several outings as it’s a very flattering shade – I’m wearing it here. The duo are £25 here – link.
I really wish I’d had the Tartelette Flirt Eyeshadow Palette and Brush for my holiday, as it’s such a lovely, dinky set of six beautiful shades with a handy brush that you can (just about) create a whole eye look with. The palette contains four matte shades and two shimmer shades, most of which lean warm, but they’re all very flattering and you have everything you need for a variety of daytime and nighttime looks in a perfectly edited palette. It’s £24 here – link.
The tarte Creaseless Undereye Concealer with Brush was the product I was most eager to try as I’ve been wanting to try it ever since I first developed an interest in tarte. The concealer itself has recently been repackaged, which a lot of people are saying has impacted the quality of the product, so reviews are very mixed. I personally find this a fantastic concealer that hides under eye circles (exhibit A: absolutely knackered but you can’t see the blue bags) as well as marks and spots really, really well. The formula is very dry which takes a bit of getting used to, but I get on really well with it, especially when used with the brush. Find it here – link – for £29.
The final product is the one I think everyone will get really excited about, the Love, Trust & Fairy Dust Palette, which I have to say, really is something special. It contains 10 eyeshadows that sit around a central highlighter in a petal-like fashion, encased in a sparkly compact that is the sort of thing that makes any fan of glitter/pink/sparkle/make-up immediately take notice.
The shades are absolutely beautiful, with a great mix of finish and formulas that’ll allow you to create some really interesting looks, especially as there are a few (surprisingly wearable) pinks and cherry shades that give this palette a real lift; I feel like this could be an entirely plausible alternative to the incoming Urban Decay Naked Cherry, so if you’ve looked at those shades and thought they’d be a struggle for you to work, here is a much kinder alternative! It appears to have sold out on the QVC UK site, but fingers crossed new stock will arrive soon. If you just can’t wait, the main tarte site has it here – link – for £34.

Oh wow, this new range really does look beautiful and very Instagrammable!
I’ve not actually tried very many products from Tarte Cosmetics, but those that I have tried are great.
The creaseless concealer definitely has me interested as I usually prefer dryer formulations too.

Isn’t it pretty? They are so good at producing really gorgeously presented products – I would really recommend trying out a few bits from them; they do fantastic mascaras and some really great base products too xx
