I was sent the Zoeva Summer Strobe Spectrum Powder Palette as a surprise and I’m really glad I was, as it’s not the sort of colourway I would choose for myself, but I absolutely love it! I always favour cool-tones even though I’m quite neutral, so I can get away with either, but I have to say, the warmer tones in this beautiful highlighter palette are so incredibly flattering, and I can’t wait to get stuck-in to the deeper tones when the warmer months finally arrive and I catch a little bit of colour…I’ve actually just booked my holiday for May and I can’t wait to take this palette for a full-on spin!
There are several Strobe Spectrum Powder Palettes available alongside the pictured Summer version, as there’s a Winter and Spring too, plus blush and contour variants as well. Each palette contains four complimentary shades, and the Summer one has two pale shades, one medium shade and one deeper shade. The palest shade is a warm vanilla, the second shade is a gorgeous peach (my favourite of the four), the medium shade is a golden bronze and the deeper shade is a kind of terracotta.
As you’d expect from a Zoeva palette, the shades are beautiful to use and wear, providing blendable pigment in a flattering finish that adds light and a touch of shimmer, without looking to OTT. I really like all four shades, although at the moment I’m definitely favouring the paler two for adding a touch of glow and warmth to the skin. When I catch a bit of colour, I’ll be using the medium shade to highlight the tan and the deeper shade for all-over glow. This is a bargain at £20, but if the colours don’t do it for you, do check out the other shades.
