Apologies, the blog is a tad ‘beauty box heavy’ at the moment, since the last two posts were beauty box reviews and so is this one, but I couldn’t wait to show you the contents of the Birchbox The Birthday Box as it’s really fantastic, filled with some great goodies and a very affordable price point too, this is a celebration of Birchbox’s 6th birthday and they’re doing it in style – I even love the big box all the goodies come in!
The Birchbox The Birthday Box contains 10 products, 8 of which are full-sized and 2 are deluxe minis. It’s also limited edition and it really is good value, so I can see it selling out pretty fast. It’s definitely a make-up heavy box, but there are a few other bits included too, so all-in all it’s a lovely collection and I was genuinely excited to get stuck-in.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter in Moonstone – I get these little obsessions with products and my current one is highlighters, so I’m very happy to have a tube of this cult Becca product to play with.
Profusion Highlight & Contour 1 Palette – this is a very impressive palette that I’m excited to try; I know Profusion are a relatively budget brand, but I’m still surprised to see a full-sized highlight/contour palette in this edit!
Popband London Popbrush – this is a fantastic brush and I’m very happy to have it! It feels lovely and gentle on hair, the handle is comfortable and it’s a joy to use. There are assorted colours included in The Birthday Box; as you can see I got the beautiful, bright blue.
Lottie London Lash Goals Mascara – I really like Lottie London make-up as I remember being sent a few bits when they launched and I found them very good. I’m also never unhappy to have a new mascara too try, so I look forward to giving this a whirl.
Lollipop The Brand Mia Hair Clips – I rather stupidly forgot to photograph this when putting the feature together, so apologies for that! They’re clips with faux pearl embellishment and honestly they are so cute, so such a lovely product to include.
Rituals The Ritual of Karma Body Shimmer Oil – this is a perfect product for seeing in the summer months. I’m not much of a body oil fan, but I know loads of people who will be very keen to get their hands on this.
Ciate Supernova Gelology – this is the second mini product (alongside the Becca highlighter) and even though it’s a mini, it’s a good size and a pretty colour. Mascaras and nail polishes are two products I actually prefer to get in mini form, as I never use their full-sized versions before they starting losing quality.
Yes To Grapefruit Glow Boosting Unicorn Peel Off Mask – this is actually a cream mask (I think the packaging makes it look like it might be a sheet) and it promises to boost radiance whilst removing impurities; I will be giving it a go as it sounds like my sort of thing.
Wunder2 Glitter Gelly in 24 Karat – this is another product that’ll be wasted on me but will no doubt appeal to lots of other people, mostly those who have enough of a social life to warrant the use of a Glitter Gelly!
Eddie Funkhouser Chromographic Lip Color in Skinny Dip – this a really good shade that I wish I could pull off, but it’ll definitely suit lots of people, especially those who like a nude lip that isn’t too sallow.
The Birchbox The Birthday Box launches tomorrow (Friday 7th June 2019) and will cost £28, for a box of goodies valued at £103. Join the waitlist for an update here – link.
