Earlier this week, whilst sipping my festively flavoured hot chocolate, sporting my pumpkin face mask, luxuriating in pumpkin bath-bombed water, lathering up with Vanilla Pumpkin Shower Cream, I wondered if I might be taking the autumn a touch too seriously…but then I realised, that’s just not possible, as autumn rules, so I could not have been happier to get my hands on the new The Body Shop Vanilla Pumpkin range.
I always think that, when The Body Shop launch a new range there are the core products you’ll almost always expect to see, and these are shower creams, body butters and hand creams. Thankfully, the The Body Shop Vanilla Pumpkin range contains all of these things, but there’s also a few surprises too! Kicking off with the terrifying Vanilla Pumpkin Bath Bomb (£5 here – link) that turns your bath water such a deep shade or orange that I feared I would have to redecorate my bathroom to match, but actually it didn’t take any effort at all to wash away post bath (phew!) and instead I should’ve spent more time enjoying the lightly sweet fragrance of the hydrating water, instead of trying to work out if orange towels would match my grey floor (they would).
The Pumpkin Spice Lip Juicer (£7 here – link) is basically autumn in a perfectly formed tub that’s easy to apply and a pleasure to use. This is a very pumpkin-y balm that provides a light hit of shimmery bronze colour that reminds me of the shade of autumnal leaves, so a great choice for anyone wanting a quick hit of festivity.
My favourite of the bunch, because I do love a mask, particularly a The Body Shop one, is the new Pumpkin Instant Radiance In-Shower Mask (£18 here – link) as it just feels so well timed; this is the point when everyone’s skin starts to suffer and get a little more dull, so a lightly exfoliating treatment like this mask is a great product to add to your routine, particularly as it’s designed to work quickly too. I use this as I do any other mask, so I left it on for around 20 minutes whilst I was in the bath and there were definitely no ill effects from indulging for a little longer.
The aforementioned winning trio, the Vanilla Pumpkin Whipped Body Butter (£18 here – link), Vanilla Pumpkin Shower Cream (£6.50 here – link) and the Vanilla Pumpkin Hand Cream (£5.50 here – link) are predictably and reliably fabulous, balancing the gorgeous formulas with that crisp, sweet fragrance that is particularly beautiful in the shower cream, which is my personal favourite of this trio.
