It has been such a pleasure getting to know the Meroda Cosmetics range, and whilst I love a good foundation (check out my review of the Meroda Cosmetics Changing Foundation here) I am always going to be a lipstick-loving girl at heart, so you can imagine how excited I was to get my hands on the Meroda Cosmetics Velvet Dream Lipsticks in all four, glorious shades!
The Meroda Cosmetics Velvet Dream Lipsticks are available in two nudes, a red and a berry and the formula is just perfect: creamy, velvety and very comfortable to wear with fantastic colour payoff. The shades are: Perfect Nude – a slightly cool-leaning but mostly neutral nude pink: Pink Peony – very similar to Perfect Nude but with a warmer, pinker undertone; Luscious Red -a true, brilliant red; Grape Galore -a deep berry purple.
I was also sent the Signature Lip Pencils which are equally creamy and pigmented, in a crayon formula that winds up from the base. The shades are Perfect Nude – pinky nude; Rosewood – a deeper pink nude; Luscious Red – the perfect red that matches so well with the above lipstick and finally, Berry – a deep purple plum.
In the pictures above, I’m also wearing the Meroda Cosmetics Changing Foundation – look how glowy my skin is! As someone who loves a nude pink, my favourite shades are both Perfect Nude and Pink Peony; I think I slightly favour Perfect Nude as I love anything cool-leaning, but I think Pink Peony actually suits me better. It would be a crime not to give some special attention to the Luscious Red lipstick and matching liner as what a beautiful pairing they make; red is such a tricky shade to wear, but the formulas of both these products make it a much more easy process, for both application and wear time.
Which pairing is your favourite? I think all the nudes are amazing, but I also love the red! I’m not sure I could confidently pull off the grape and berry shades, but they are beautiful colours if you’re a fan of deeper tones.
