Near the end of last year I was sent the most wonderful box full of This Works goodies, with a bit of everything to try. I thought I’d take my time to really get to to know the products and today I’m sharing a little overview of the range. Firstly, I will hold my hands up and admit that I had no idea This Works had so many products! I vaguely remember them launching with just a few products, so I don’t know why I’m so surprised they now have such a comprehensive range, but there you go.
This Works are an interesting concept as they’re designed to tackle different needs depending on the time of the day, so they have products to help you relax and sleep, skincare for your night time routine, as well as skin and body care designed to prepare you for the day ahead as part of their daytime range. I always associate This Works with their Deep Sleep Pillow Spray – a product I have used for years and still use now – as it’s just one of those perfectly executed products that really does help.
With that in mind, let’s have a closer look at the sleep goodies I received. My soft spot for the Deep Sleep Pillow Spray extends to their Baby Sleep Pillow Spray, which was something the brand very kindly kept me in stock of when Teddy was a baby. Trust me when I say that this spray works; I am a big believer in setting up little triggers to let your mind and body know that it’s time to sleep, so having a relaxing spray that you use before sleep every day works so well. If you’re looking for a bargain then QVC UK currently have a This Works Love Sleep Duo for ยฃ33 here – link.
The Deep Sleep Night Oil is a lightweight and easily absorbed oil that softens and lightly hydrates. I don’t normally like oils as they can be so greasy, but this one absorbs really quickly. My favourite find of the products I was sent is the Deep Sleep Body Whip as it is such a treat; I use it all over my body and it smells so relaxing, it absorbs really quickly, yet my skin remains moisturised until my next bath – I am getting through the jar so quickly and it will be a repurchase!
I find it really charming that they have a trio of products that are all designed for improving the appearance of your legs. Obviously you can use these anywhere and don’t need to limit their usage to the legs, but I am looking forward to getting really stuck-in to these when the sun comes out! The trio consists of Perfect Legs Skin Miracle – a tinted serum that adds a hint of colour and glow; Perfect Legs Gradual Tan – a deeply hydrating gradual tanner that’s ideal if you’re like me and have dry patches and finally the Skin Deep Dry Leg Oil – which is another oil that I can recommend due to the lack of greasy residue.
Next we’re looking at the more generalised body products, starting with the Perfect Body Smoothing Wash, which provides a very gentle exfoliation that’s so gentle, you can use it on both the face and body. I only used it on the body as my face is notoriously tricky, but I think most normal skin types would be able to use this on both. The Perfect Cleavage and Neck Serum couldn’t have arrived at a better time as I’ve just recently started taking my neck care seriously, rather than seeing it as an afterthought after my main PM skincare routine. The Perfect Body Vit C Glow was the very first product I tried from this delivery, and it’s so lovely – I think This Works truly do some of the best body moisturisers as they always leave skin looking and feeling better without leaving any residue.
Finishing off with a couple of products from their dedicated skincare range, which was the biggest surprise for me as they have such a comprehensive range of skincare! Think gorgeous cleansers, moisturisers, serums and eye creams – they are definitely worth investigating further. The In Transit No Traces are cleansing pads filled with skin-soothing and hydrating goodies such as mint and rosewater, providing a refreshing treat for the skin. I realise they are designed as makeup removing pads, but I tend to use these as a a midday refresher, particularly after the gym. Finally, the In Transit Camera Close-Up does a bit of everything and can be used in a variety of ways, such as a primer or a mask. I really like the fact that it’s packed well so you can take it out and about to rehydrate your skin if you’re prone to dryness or dehydration.
There we have it! My full intro to some of the key product from This Works. This is a perfect time for posting as they have a huge sale on with lots of decent discounts, plus I think this is the sort of range that mums love (such as my mum and myself!) so if you haven’t put anything together for Mother’s Day yet, I can highly recommend having a nose around the site to find some new favourites.
