The extremely successful Polyphenol C15 range of skincare has just been extended to include a new product – the Anti-Wrinkle Protect Cream – bringing the total up to five products that are packed full of antioxidants and skin-caring ingredients. The Caudalie Polyphenol C15 range is designed to not only correct, but also protect skin from the hustle and bustle of busy lifestyles, plus the two products that contain both SPF and antioxidants are ideal for city-livers who’s skin faces the trauma of city pollution on a daily basis. This is a fuss-free range of easy-to-use products that fit into any skincare routine. I’ve been having a play with some of the range so here are my thoughts.
Let’s start with the newbie, which is the Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Protect Cream, a nourishing day cream with an anti-oxidant based, broad spectrum SPF20. There’s already an SPF20 in the range and this is a more hydrating version which I personally prefer as I need as much hydration as possible before make-up application. I would say, normal to oily skins would do better with the Anti-Wrinkle Protect Fluid, but if you suffer from dehydration, dryness or you use spot-fighting products that make your skin appear a bit flaky then you’re better off going with the Anti-Wrinkle Protect Cream.
Next up we have my personal favourite which is the Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Defense Serum. The whole Polyphenol range is built around antioxidants generally, with a specific inclusion of Vitamin C which you can really tell in the serum as it has a slightly fruity smell and it feels powerful on the skin; it’s an interesting mix of renewing and hydration but it won’t overload sensitive or spot-prone skin types, plus it sits very well under make-up making it a great all-rounder.
The final two products in the range are the Overnight Detox Oil (not pictured) and the Anti-Wrinkle Eye and Lip Cream. The Overnight Detox Oil is definitely on my to-try list as it sounds right up my street; a purifying, regenerating and detoxifying oil that improves skin whilst you sleep – all reviews are very positive and it sounds simply and sensibly formulated. The Anti-Wrinkle Eye and Lip Cream is a multi-use product that in a gel-cream formula that works to tighten and refine the eye and lip areas – both of which tend to show signs of premature aging before everywhere else, so I love the fact that this product targets both areas.
