Sometimes a product arrives that is just so unbelievably impressive, that I have to write about it right away; I’m currently putting together a feature on cleansing balms which is why I called-in the In The Beginning Deep Cleansing Melt from Temple Spa, but I couldn’t hold off until the feature was ready and instead I had to share this with you as it’s such a wonderful product. If you like products that are a joy to use whilst actually doing what they say, you need to get your hands on a tub of In The Beginning!
When this first arrived and was described as “a facial in a jar”, I did let out a little groan as how many skincare products are self-proclaimed facials in jars? Whilst I don’t think you can really achieve the same levels of an hour of skincare love in a two minute cleanse, this is certainly the closest I’ve come to a facial in a jar. The product is a rich, thick balm with soft beads that melt as you work them into your skin. They’re not scratchy at all, and they work really well alongside the oily balm that melts and moves around your face, encouraging lots of massage. 60-120 seconds of rubbing this around your face, followed by a soaking-off with a muslin cloth (Temple Spa actually do some very good ones too) will reveal very soft, plump, hydrated, smooth, nourished and glowy skin that – I was absolutely impressed by the results and I actually found myself looking forward to using this every night as it’s a total joy to use. It’s aimed at dry skin types so it might be a bit rich for oily skins, but anyone with dehydrated, dry, dull skin or skin that needs a bit of clarity or pick-me-up would do well to invest in this. It’s also not mickey-taking expensive at £28 for a 60g pot which should last quite a while. It can be found here – link.

This sounds like a product that would work wonders on my skin! Does it have much of a scent please? My skin is very dry, but sensitive, and I have to be very careful with what I use.
Hi, In The Beginning cleansing balm has the soft, gentle scent. It’s a hand blended cleanser with olive butter, calendula, basil, lavender and Vit E. It’s perfect for dry, thirsty and skin in need of alittle extra indulgence hope that helps! X

IT has a very light scent that I’d say is probably a little like banana (that’s the smell I pick up anyway!) so I would tread carefully but definitely investigate as it’s a brilliant cleanser xx
ooo well this is now on the must-try list!
It’s *amazing*! You have to try it! xx
