Years ago, when Pixi were available at Boots, I used to stalk the stand, swatching the various bits and bobs, trying out the different formulas and generally doing what any beauty-lover does at such a place. I remember trying the Pixi Illuminating Tint & Conceal and thinking how fantastic the concealer end was, and however many years later, nothing has changed – the concealer is phenomenal.
I love the concept of the Pixi Illuminating Tint & Conceal as it’s exactly how you should approach your base application; start with the lightest base you can get away with, then add concealer to any areas that need extra help. This handy little duo has a tinted moisturiser at one end that gives skin a lovely, dewy glow, and the aforementioned heavy duty concealer at the other end. The formula of the concealer is rich, pigmented and creamy, meaning you can use it under the eye or on spots, depending on your preference. To be honest, even though I love the idea of this dynamic duo, and if I was a traveller then it would become my new best friend, I could actually go without the tinted moisturiser element as I have other products that I prefer. I really rate the Pixi Full Coverage Brush (review here and also pictured above) for applying both products. The reason I keep using this is because of the very handy concealer – annoyingly, they don’t seem to do the concealer as an individual product, so I hope that’ll change soon! The Pixi Illuminating Tint & Conceal is an ideal product for anyone with generally good skin that needs a little bit extra here and there. It’s available in three shades (I’m Light Glow No.1) and it’s £26 here – link.
