It wouldn’t be a proper Christmas gift guide if it didn’t feature a personal fragrance set, so here we have the lovely Gucci Bamboo EDP Gift Set for Her, a set including the main EDP fragrance alongside the perfumed body lotion, with the former being 50ml and the latter 100ml. The duo is presented in a pretty, pink and silver decorated box that matches the theme of the fragrance.
Of all the perfume releases over the past few months, the one I keep hearing about is Gucci Bamboo, so I was keen to get my hands on it and get sniffing. The opening notes are Italian Bergamot, the heart notes are Casablanca Lily, Ylang Ylang and Orange Blossom, whilst the base notes are Amber, Sandalwood and Tahitian Vanilla. These combine to create a feminine, sexy scent that I think works quite well for day and night wear. It’s a little more spicy than I would normally go for, so it’s perfect for those who like a floral fragrance that isn’t too sickly or sweet. I also really like the packaging and bottle design which matches the overall vibe of the fragrance; I feel like this is aimed at women who like strong punchy fragrances that are just the right side of girly, which is exactly what the feel, look and scent of this fragrance evokes.
