I decided near the end of last year that this year I would start a series introducing online beauty shops as there are soooo many great ones that tend to get overlooked in favour of the more dominant ones, so hopefully this series will introduce you to some new beauty shops that you might not know of, as well as reintroduce some old favourites. Kicking off the series is the fabulous Beauty Crowd (link), a fantastic source for a lot of lesser known/harder-to-find beauty brands, with the huge benefit being that most featured brands are pretty budget-friendly, with very few products going over the £10 mark.
The first brand that comes to mind when thinking of Beauty Crowd is Freedom Makeup, who are kind of like Makeup Revolution’s older, more professional sister. Much like MUR, they have a vast array of products including everything you could possibly need to create the perfect base, brow and contour, as well as a recently launched skincare line. The products above are the Pro Studio Eye Makeup Remover, Pro Studio Glycolic Glow Tonic and Pro Studio Moisture Cream, plus the beautiful Decadence Palette in Magic. Prices hit between £5 and £8.
Another exciting brand that feature prominently on Beauty Crowd is Milani, and with good reason, as how pretty are those powders?! Milani is a very good example of a cheaper brand that looks anything but cheap, with beautiful formulas, gloriously detailing and generally a far more luxury look that the price suggests. Above you have the Rose Powder Blush, Illuminating Face Powder as well as the Colour Statement Lipstick, the latter of which is available in a very decent 12 shades. Price point is between £5 and £8.
Finally, a few other brands of note include Bell, who do both skincare and makeup, Essence, a very popular budget brand that came back into our beauty world fairly recently, Nicka K, who do some amazingly bright and vivid shadow collections, and a couple of slightly more luxury priced items such as the cult Fairy Drops mascara and the Mesauda Milano colour range. Above is the Bell Hypoallergenic Face & Body Illuminating Powder (£3.95), the Bell Hypoallergenic Micellar Makeup Remover (£4.95) and the Mesauda Milano Ethereal Illusion Foundation (£14.50). As you can see, there’s some great brands on Beauty Crowd that you can’t really find elsewhere, plus you can have a very decent haul without spending too much! Check them out here – link.
