Over the past 6 months or so, I’ve been really getting into doing my nails at home – not regularly as I quite like to take my time with it and I don’t always have that time available (what with Netflix, and stuff…) but when I do it, I have a lovely collection of goodies that I make full use of, some of which include bits from the Kiss Manicure Systems, which are little manicure sets containing everything you need depending on your particular nail issue, so you have a choice of Strengthening, Growth, Repair or Cuticle Care; I have Cuticle Care and Strengthening.
Strengthening contains three products; a Base Coat, a Nail Tint and a Top Coat, all of which contain formulations aimed at adding strength to nails. The thing I like about these kits is that you don’t have to use them all, they’re just three products that’ll help with the issue, so you can just apply a lick of the Nail Tint for a bit of colour and strength, use either the top or base coat in your manicure to help with weak nails, or, if you’re really struggling, you can use all three together.
Cuticle Care is my favourite of the two, partly because cuticles are my main issue – it seems no matter what I do, mine are always horrendously dry and grow at an astonishing rate – and in the set you get three very handy products: Cuticle Remover, Cuticle Oil and Nail Balm, as well as a wooden cuticle pusher. The Cuticle Remover is absolutely brilliant as it really does remove the cuticles making them nice and soft so you can easily remove them, so consequently this is one of those products I use every time I do my nails. The Cuticle Oil is nice enough, albeit nothing special, but the Nail Balm is also a handy product that allows for easy, transportable application when you’re on a mission to keep your cuticles soft and clean in appearance. Both kits are £7.99 each, which is very affordable, but at the moment I can’t find the Cuticle Care kit anywhere online, for some reason.
