Nip + Fab have always had a pretty solid reputation as the more purse-friendly sister brand to the uber-luxe Rodial, but up until recently, all they really did was skincare. Extremely good skincare, but still, only skincare. That all changed earlier this year when they launched their tremendously exciting range of makeup, some of which I’ve been having a play with. Here’s a little look at what’s available:
Nip + Fab have done an awesome job at designing a collection of base products that meet the needs of modern, makeup-savvy consumers with their no-frills (but oddly appealing) squeezy bottles of Foundation. They come in a huge range of colours and they also have created some foundation mixer shades so you can get your exact skin match. These are £12.95 each.
They also have concealers in the range (£8.95 each) and a great collection of Colour Correctors in Peppermint, Banana, Terracotta and Lavender, all of which are also £8.95.
If you like a nude lip, the Matte Liquid Lipsticks are likely to be something you’ll want to check out. The shade range is fab and they also have a kit containing all ten shades for less than £50, so if you’re serious about investing in a new set of nude lipsticks, this is the set for you. The individual price is £7.95 each.
Most of the above were in shades that made it difficult for me to try, so I’ve introduced you to the products without really sharing my thoughts. However, that all changes with the gorgeous palettes that feature in the collection. These are definitely my favourites and the bits I’d highly recommend checking out first. The Highlight Palette Stroboscopic is pretty much everything you could ever want from a palette of highlighters; the shades are beautiful, going from a light champagne through to a glowy bronze, the formula is effortless and smooth and the price point of £15 (here – link) is very decent.
Next is the Contour Palette which is another awesome find. This is a great starting point for anyone who’s new to contouring as you have pretty much everything you could need in this colour choices; three great contour shades that you can mix and match to get your perfect finish, plus three highlighting shades, one of which is a matte highlight powder that’ll allow you to add light without shimmer. This is one of those sets that’s so well put together and available in three shades (pictured is Light) so you can get the best match for your skin tone. This is £15 here – link. The Nip + Fab Makeup collection is so comprehensive; there are brow products, eyeshadow palettes, lip liners and primers, as well as some gorgeous curated sets that will make you lust. Check out the full collection here – link. There’s currently a 3 for 2 across the site (as of 07.07.17) using codes 3F2SUMMER.
