Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Brandon Truaxe, the founder and brains behind all the Deciem brands (so NIOD, The Ordinary, Hylamide etc) who was in London to showcase some of the new and upcoming launches from Deciem. There are so many exciting products coming our way, a few of which I thought I’d do a quick intro to so you can see what’s new.
First up, there are are a couple of new NIOD launches, starting with the one that I think is going to create the most buzz, which is the NIOD Survival range. There are four products, all of which contain an impressive array of skincare-loving ingredients and three of which are SPFs – 30, 20 and 10 – which Survival O designed for nighttime use to compliment the daytime formulations. These launched today with prices starting at £20 for Survivial 0 going up to £25 for Survival 30 – check them out here –link. The other product is NIOD Re:Pigment which is a serum designed to target pigmentation, as the name clearly suggests, but without any of the usual ingredients you might expect to find in such a product (such as Hydroquinone, Kojic Acid, Arbutin, Licorice, etc) so if you’ve tried similar products previously and had issues with particular ingredients, this might be a good one to add to your list. It arrives next month and will be £30.
The Ordinary are getting yet more budget-friendly vitamin C in the shape of the new The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 30% in Silicone, which has been formulated to provide a high level of vitamin C in a stable, water-free suspension. The Ordinary vitamin C offerings are just amazing, and I love the fact that they’re placing such importance of creating such an array of formulas so that everyone can find their perfect match. This launches next week (24th July 2017) for £5.80.
There’s a whole new range a’coming! Esho is a collaborative endeavour with Dr Esho, starting with a trio of lip products – Drench, for hydration; Pause, which prolongs the longevity of lip fillers, and the rather scary Sculpt, which boosts volume, colour and texture – scary because I tried it on my hand (I was warned…) and the skin went red and tingly for a good 20 minutes before it settled down…consequently I’m a mix of terrified and excited to try this on my lips! Drench will be £11, Pause will be £27 and Sculpt will be £28. All three launch in September.
Finally, the Hylamide Pore Flush is the product I think I’m most excited about. I’m a little sketchy on how this works, but from what I can gather, it’s a product designed to deliberately purge the skin, bringing all the rubbish to the surface so that it can be dealt with and removed. Obviously this means the first few weeks you’ll likely be left with rubbish skin as everything is forced to the surface, but I love the concept of a product designed to give skin a seriously deep clean! I’ll give this a whirl soon and see how I get on. It’ll be £15 and launches next month.
There we have it! An exciting collection of products to sink your teeth into. The Ordinary Foundation line is also going to be extended with some matte finish products joining the initial two (serum and coverage – both of which are incredible…I’m late with my review but it will be coming soon!) and no doubt there’ll be all sorts of newness that Brandon hasn’t even thought of yet. Do you know when Hylamide Pore Flush will be launched in august?? It sounds amazing!
Not 100% sure, will double check and get back to you – if I recall correctly it was supposed to be an early launch but I might have that wrong!
Thank you! ?
