Too Faced Born This Way Foundation is one of those products that people really rave about, so when I was sent my first bottle in the Ivory shade, I couldn’t wait to get it on my face. As regular readers will likely know, I’m pretty pale (paler than you would expect – MUAs always start with darker shades and are always surprised by how fair they have to go to get a good match!) and there are many brands that don’t go pale enough for me (*cough* NARS *cough*) so, you can probably see where this is going, the Ivory shade was too dark for me and I was gutted.
Thankfully, this has now been addressed and us super-paleys are being catered for as there are a few new shades that have been added, with some even too pale for me! Well, one, but still. I haven’t had a chance to fully review the foundation yet, but I thought it would be handy to share with you some swatches of other similar shades of foundations, so you can get an idea of where the new shades fit in. The palest shade, Snow, is a very pale porcelain shade that’s actually too light for me, whereas the next shade, Swan, is a better match. Swan leans quite yellow in the swatch, but it isn’t overly yellow on the face – it’s sandwiched between two much cooler shades, which give it a much warmer appearance. The new shades are out now, which I believe brings the full range up to 35 shades. Not bad, eh? Find them here – link – for £29. I’ll hopefully get the foundation review live in the New Year.

Hi! I am looking at the swatches planning to buy Too Faced foundation but I am not sure where are the shades swan/snow on the picture? Are they on the top or bottom? ☺️☺️☺️
HI Maggie, so sorry – you’re absolutely right as the caption doesn’t help much does it? I’ve updated it as the swatches are from top to bottom, so hopefully that makes more sense! xx
