I don’t know what’s happened with me and my feelings towards Beauty Pie, which have gone from pretty consistent apathy for a good few months, to a sudden u-turn into obsession – I just can’t get enough of that brand right now and I have to stop myself from placing another order. I think it’s because they’ve got some fabulous new releases of late, so my keenness is truly renewed. In my last little haul (here it is) I picked up the Beauty Pie Wondergloss lip Oil Trio, so I thought I’d share my thoughts.
I did actually purchase the original Wondergloss Lip Oil in the shade Nude Nectar, but the colour didn’t really do much for me. However, I do love a good lip oil and I really liked the look of these shades, plus a pack of three full-sized lip oils for less than a tenner? Has to be done really, doesn’t it. There are a good mix of colours, with a peachy nude, a fleshy pink and a true red. Predictably, I was in it mostly for the pink.
There are quite a few negative reviews on the Beauty Pie site which I think is a bit of shame as they’re focusing in on things such as pigmentation, scent and texture. For me, a lip oil is a hydrating lip treatment with a hint of colour. These are pretty much exactly that, although I do think it’s noteworthy that the colours are buildable and you can get a nice lick of colour out of all three if you’re willing to put in the effort, but I personally like these most as a really light wash of colour, that works well either to finish off the face if you’ve gone for a heavy eye look, or to add a tiny touch of colour to a polished everyday make-up look.
I get that the fragrance is off-putting for some, as they smell of roses, but they don’t taste of roses, which is the main thing. These have that luxe/fancy vibe that I’ve come to expect from Beauty Pie, and remind me of the Sisley Photo Lip Delights (review here) although these are a little more dense and sticky in texture – not scary-90’s-lipgloss-sticky, but enough for a bit of hold, which I don’t personally see as a bad thing as it stops them slipping off your lips within the first 30 seconds of application. The Beauty Pie Wondergloss Lip Oils are not for everyone, but I tend to favour sheerer formulas and hydrating lip products, so these are very much my sort of thing. They’re currently £8.29 for the whole set if you’re a Beauty Pie member.
I have never tried any of their products before. I remember hearing quite a bit about the brand around when it first launched, but haven’t heard many people talk about it since.

They are fantastic and well worth checking out xx
They sound beautiful! I like anything rose-scented and a lip oil with just a hint of colour is perfect for very light or no makeup days xx
