Can you imagine my excitement when a big box of skincare joy featuring two of my favourite ingredients arrived from Revolution Skincare? I love Glycolic Acid and I love Retinol – I think they’re both essential to a good skincare routine – so, whilst it’s definitely too soon to be sharing a full review on the ranges, I thought it would be fun to have a quick look at the products, since, if you’re anything like me, you’ll be in the mood for a bit of beauty binging over the holidays.
First up, let’s look at the Retinol range, which currently contains five products:
Retinol Eye Cream (£10)
Retinol Cream Cleanser (£10)
Retinol Toner (£12)
Retinol Serum (£10)
Retinol Overnight Cream (£12)
Several of the products in the Revolution Skincare Retinol range contain variants of Rosehip Oil, a beautifully nourishing and soothing ingredient that benefits most skin types…apart from mine, obviously, as my skin likes to be as difficult as possible and for some inexplicable reason, hates Rosehip and anything rose-related, so I won’t be able to fully review the full range, but I’ll definitely share with you a more thorough overview soon. On first impressions, what I really like about the Retinol range is that the formulations seem pretty sensible and there are no long ingredients lists, so I have high hopes!
Next up, the Glycolic range, which I was particularly excited about as I’ve been a fan of Glycolic Acid for my entire adult life; it’s one of the original AHAs that suits most skin types, offering a decent, superficial exfoliation that’s very noticeable. Revolution have gone all in with their formulations, providing surprisingly high levels of concentrations. Here’s what the range consists of so far:
Glycolic Acid Glow Mud Cleanser (£10)
Glycolic Acid Glow Polisher (£10)
10% Glycolic Acid Glow Serum £10)
Glycolic Acid Glow Over Night Cream (£12)
Much like the Retinol range, this is a good, solid collection to suit most needs of Glycolic Acid fans. First impressions are mostly positive, so I’ll be sharing my thoughts in a more in-depth review early next year.
