The L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro Longer Range came into my life with the most perfect timing, as my hair is astoundingly long right now that it’s almost overwhelming; I’ve literally had to change my whole bathing routine because I can’t get away with conditioning my hair whilst sitting in the bath as it’s so long that it ends up dipping into the water as I apply product; this is such a first world problem but it’s a weird by-product of the pandemic, since I’ve been stuck indoors for so long that I haven’t had the opportunity for a proper haircut, so now I have unbelievably long hair that needs some serious maintaining!
It would be so easy, at this point, to just give up, let my ends split and comfort myself with the knowledge that there will be haircuts in my future again, hopefully very soon, but there are two issues with this approach: firstly, I actually quite like having long hair and I have managed to keep it in pretty good condition, and secondly, you can’t predict what impact that type of approach will have on the rest of your hair, so a split that affects the last couple of inches of hair could keep splitting right to the very root, so then you’ll end up with a whole head of hair in bad condition, which is definitely not a risk I’m willing to take. Enter L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro Longer Range to the rescue!
The L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro Longer Range is a fantastic range designed to help plump, fill and strengthen long hair, whilst visibly reducing split ends by up to 94%, which is incredible if you think about it. Long hair has gravity going against it, so it can easily weaken and look finer than it is, so it massively benefits from a range like Pro Longer that helps address all the typical long-hair issues. There are several products in the range:
L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro Longer Lengths Renewing Shampoo
L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro Longer Lengths Renewing Conditioner
L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro Longer Lengths Renewing Mask
L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro Longer Renewing Cream for Lengths and Ends
L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro Longer End Filler Concentrate
I have been trying out the first three products which I’ll talk about shortly. The End Filler Concentrate is promoted as a salon treatment, but I’ve noticed you can buy it as a single shot, so I’ve just picked up some (along with the End Filler Concentrate) so I’ll report back with how I get on with the finishing products.
I’m sure by this point it’ll be no surprise to learn that I absolutely love the L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro Longer Range and I have found it to be fantastic for dealing with a number of issues I have with my long hair, both immediately and cumulatively. The shampoo and conditioner duo are great for every day use, with the conditioner being perfectly balanced, adding the right level of hydration without weighing hair down. Also, what is it about L’Oreal Pro products that smell so good?! I don’t know if it’s the fact that they remind me of being at the salon or if it’s just that I’ve always had such positive experiences with the brand, but I really, really love the scent!
The aforementioned duo are brilliant, but the standout product for me is the L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro Longer Lengths Renewing Mask, because it is such a transformative product; the first time I used it I was genuinely in disbelief that one product could make such a difference to my hair, as it felt so smooth and soft, looked almost glass-like with shine and yet there was no greasiness or residue – it’s a very rich product so I tend to just use it once a week, but I absolutely love it and will definitely be repurchasing it after I use up my tub, which is likely to be pretty soon.
The whole L’Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Pro Longer range is available from various outlets including Feel Unique, who currently have 20% (at time of writing) so the price point for each product is around the £10 – £15 mark.
