Since their recent arrival on the UK market with their line of skincare that included the rather novel Jelly Aquarysta that the beauty world went mad for, I’ve been intrigued by Astalift and have kept an eye on any of their new releases. Made by the science bods behind Fujifilm, they tend not to rush their new releases and instead take their time to perfect each one, which is how they came to create the Astalift Light Analyzing Moisture Foundation.
The Astalift Light Analyzing Moisture Foundation is designed to correct and absorb the impact of lighting, meaning that it keeps your skin looking luminous regardless of what lighting you’re under. I really haven’t been able to test this theory, so all I can do is review the foundation on its performance as a standard base product.
It’s available in six shades in total, and unfortunately all of them fall quite pale; I’d say anyone darker than light-to-medium olive would struggle to get a shade dark enough, but apparently a wider shade range is in the pipeline. Paleys such as myself are all set though, as the shades are broken down into two sets of three, each of which is either yellow leaning or pink leaning and the pink leaning shades come up slightly paler than the yellow. I was matched to Ivory which is ideal for me and is part of the yellow leaning shades.
I am so impressed with this foundation and unfortunately my snaps don’t do really it justice, as it gives a brilliantly glowy finish that lasts all day and doesn’t look greasy. I think the name is quite misleading as I think dry skins might struggle with this foundation, but skins like mine and those that are normal would do very well with this, which leaves skin dewy, even in tone and really natural looking. Again the pictures don’t help me make this point, but the coverage really is very good and can be built-up to a very high finish. This foundation is currently the one I reach for most as it blends easily and provides the coverage and finish that I really like, without leaving skin looking caked in make-up. I’m really impressed with Astalift’s first venture into make-up and I hope this is the start of things to come. The Light Analyzing Moisture Foundation is available now from Astalift priced at £29.

Hello,
I learned of astalift foundation from lisa eldridge. I am quite pale with yellow undertones. In your blog you mentioned you were matched to ivory. For reference , what is your shade in MAC? I am NC15 and would like to know if I should purchase ivory or sunny beige.
Many tnx in advance. I know this is a late query but I only learned of the product now.
Regards,
Larcy
Hi Larcy,
I’m bang in between an NC15 and NC20 – technically I’m N17 as I’m neither warm nor cool, but I prefer to go cool and I’ll always go for a slightly later shade if I have to pick. Hope that helps! xx
