Clinique have recently launched a range of six Superprimer Face Primers, all of which are designed to correct and smooth, creating the perfect base for make-up. All of them are oil-free and each serves a different purpose; pink is for dullness, lilac is for sallowness, yellow is for redness, peach is for discolouration, tan is for dullness in deeper skin tones and white is the universal suits-all face base.
The three I was sent are pink, white and yellow and interestingly the consistency and texture of the pink and yellow are very different to the white; the former two are thick, almost plaster-like (think Polyfilla!) whereas the white has more of a serum/cream consistency. This makes sense considering the different functions they each perform; for colour correction you’d need something thicker that will almost create a barrier, whereas for general base-boosting you’d want something nurturing and easy to work with.
I really like the fact that the tan one is included to specifically cater for darker skin tones, as we all know that darker tones are the least looked after when it comes to new releases, so hopefully the inclusion of the tan shade has ensured everyone gets the primer that’s right for them.
This isn’t a review as I haven’t had a chance to try them yet, but I just wanted to give a heads-up on their arrival. I heard about these yonks ago and I’m so pleased they’re finally here, so I’ll definitely keep you updated on how I get on. The Clinique Superprimer Face Primers are £20 each and available now.

I think I’ll eventualy get the yellow one to help camouflage the mild redness of my cheeks. This is really a great launch, super smart of Clinique to have created these. 🙂
