About a week ago I realised it had been a while since we had seen a new collection from Kiko, then a few days later I started seeing the gorgeous pictures of the fall launch, the Kiko Daring Game collection and realised that they were obviously taking their time perfecting every element of this simply perfect edit; I absolutely love everything about Daring Game as it’s packed full of fun and joyful products that are autumnal without being boring. I mean, JUST LOOK:
As you can see, it’s pretty extensive with a real “something for everyone” feel, plus it’s themed around all things casino so you have dice topped caps on the polishes, heart-shaped brushes and card symbol embossed palettes. Honestly, so much pretty. I have a few goodies to show you, so here’s a closer look:
I’ll start with the Poker Nail Lacquer which is available in six shades and I was fortunate enough to receive the two I would’ve chosen myself; Irresistible Orchid – a beautiful, deep orchid pink and Exclusive Blue – a bright royal blue.
I will be NOTDing one of these soon – I can’t decide which as I love them both equally – so keep your eyes peeled for that soon, or if you can’t wait then keep your eye on my Instagram feed. These are £6.90 each.
Next are the lip products which I have to say I was least excited about until I swatched them; the two products I have are the Ace of Diamond Lipstick in the catchily named Distinct Golden Hibiscus and the Ace of Diamond Lip Pencil in the same shade as the aforementioned lipstick.
This shade is a lovely pinky red that I really like, although the cover colour of both products makes it look a lot more orange, thus proving you should never judge a book by its cover etc, etc. The lipstick is £7.90 and available in 6 shades and the lip pencil is also available in six corresponding shades for £5.90.
Now on to the first and possibly most exciting of the eye products which is the All-In Eye Marker and Kajal; a multi-purpose product that has a thick-to-thin, creamy kajal at one end and a felt-tip liner at the other, making this an extremely handy bit of kit.
It’s only available in black at the moment, but even though it’s part of the limited edition fall collection, I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes part of the permanent collection and if so, I hope it arrives with some other shades. It’s here for £9.90.
The Colour-Up Long Lasting Eyeshadow is basically Kiko’s answer to Chubby Eyes, but boy are they not kidding when they say long-lasting as once set this doesn’t budge, making it a great and relatively cheap alternative to the original Chubby. It’s available in a great selection of 10 shades and the shade I have is Mysterious Acai which is a deep purple shot through with silver shimmer – extremely pretty and very wearable. These are £7.90.
Finally we have the Mystery Smoky Eye Pencil which is a beautifully presented, creamy pencil at one end, with a really soft, angled brush at the other making this a great product for achieving quick and easy smoky eyes. It’s available in 6 shades and the shade I have is Heady Rock Brown which is a warm and slightly metallic, shimmery brown. These are £6.90.
This is just a small collection of what forms part of the Kiko Daring Game collection, there are also some gorgeous palettes of blusher, shadow squads and contouring sets, as well as a new serum and a Face Brush too.
