L’Oreal EverStrong Sulphate-Free Fortify System Shampoo and Condition
I’m trying to catch up on things that I’ve been meaning to review for a while but haven’t been able to due to them always being in use, and this shampoo and conditioner set definitely fit into that category.
A while ago, a magazine ran a reader trial for these products and I was lucky to be picked. I started using them straight away and have been using them ever since.
I’m not really one who’s concerned about whether a product is full of chemicals or not and it’s certainly not high on my priority list when I’m deciding what to try next.
The shampoo has an almost face cream like consistency; it’s very thick and creamy and smells beautiful. It lathers really well, but it’s more of a soft lather than a soapy one. The conditioner is less impressive, but still conditions well and smells OK, although not as nice as the shampoo. The fragrance for both leans on the masculine side, but it doesn’t linger too much in the hair so it isn’t a big issue.
I have fine hair but quite a bit of it. I like my hair to be soft and bouncy but if I have to choose then I’d prefer soft flat hair over hair that’s voluminous but unpleasant to touch. L’Oreal’s Everstrong leaves my hair fantastically shiny and soft, but doesn’t weigh it down at all. I do get a bit of flyaway with it, but nothing too bad and certainly nothing that I can’t control with a bit of serum.
I will most definitely repurchase this as soon as I run out, although the sizes are really generous; I reckon these will last me about 3 months and I wash my hair 3-4 times a week.
I’m not 100% sure when this range launches in the UK but I’m fairly confident it’s quite soon. I also believe that the packaging might be slightly different for the UK market.
As requested by Diana, here’s some pictures of the ingredients. As you can see, there’s a huge amount in them so I really couldn’t list them! I hope they’re readable, but let me know if anyone wants clearer pictures and I’ll retake under the photo light.
