FOTD: Kiko Daring Game

Kiko Daring Game FOTDPIN IT

As promised, here’s an FOTD featuring the latest release from Kiko, Daring Game, as posted about here.  I’ve used three products from Daring Game, the Mystery Smoky Eye Pencil in Heady Rock Brown which is awesome and a definite new favourite, plus two lip products; the Ace of Diamond Lipstick and Lip Pencil, both in the shade Distinct Golden Hibiscus.

I used the Mystery Smoky Eye Pencil in a fairly thick line all around the eye, which I then blended out with the brush at the end of the pencil.  Both the pencil and the brush are wonderful, making daytime definition extremely achievable, even if you have just a minute to apply some eye make-up.  The formula is creamy and easy to move around, whilst the hint of shimmer in this shade gives light to the eye making it a very flattering look.  I love this pencil and I can see myself using it lots, but be warned, there are two tops – one for the brush and one for the pencil – and if you get these the wrong way around then you will have yourself a very blunt pencil *goes off to hunt down pencil sharpener*…

The lip products were a bit of a disappointment as they appeared a beautiful pinky shade in my swatches, but on my lips they’re a deeper red with orange undertones, so not my favourite shade.  The pencil is good and easy to use and the lipstick is what I’d call a typical lipstick finish; not too matte, not too dewy.  All-in-all they’re fine, just not my choice of shade.  The lipstick held up extremely well with both eating and drinking, so it’s definitely long-lasting.

Thanks so much! It’s a lot more orangey red than I’d normally go for but maybe I should give these sort of shades more consideration. I just can’t leave my pinks though! xx
