If I’m honest, I find eye creams, gels and general eye skincare products pretty dull. I like the idea of them and I think they’re good investment skincare, but I’m in no hurry to get rid of my outer eye crinkles (imprints of how much I’ve laughed already!) and therefore few eye skincare products get me particularly excited. However, bareMinerals are launching a new line of skincare next year with some extremely exciting products, including, surprisingly, this Mineralixirs Eye Nourishing Oil Balm.
The reason it’s exciting is because it’s quite unusual to come across an oil/balm hybrid for the delicate under eye area as normally these types of products are perceived as too rich for such a sensitive part of the face. However, this one from bareMinerals is in fact a lot lighter than you’d expect and my skin is loving it – I didn’t realise just how parched my eye area was until it started drinking up this balm. You only need a small amount – I literally just run my finger over the surface of the balm which creates a light oil residue – and it’s made such a difference to the whole area which looks softer, smoother and a lot easier to apply make-up on top of; so much so, in fact, that I’ve started using it in the mornings under make-up too.
There’s some truly fab launches coming from bareMinerals next year and it’s a very exciting time for the brand. The Eye Nourishing Oil Balm is a lovely formulation consisting of all sorts of skin goodies such as rosehip seed oil, and obviously it’s free from all the nasties such as parabens and synthetic fragrances. It’s a winner for me and I can’t wait to see what the other products in the new skincare line are like. It launches next month for £26.
