Morphe Brushes 11 Piece Sable Brush Set

I kept hearing great things about Morphe Brushes, then Cult Beauty took them on and I knew they were a brand to pay attention to.  They’re mostly known for being the creators of fantastic yet affordable brushes and brush sets, however, they also do some lovely palettes too with some great colourways, the majority of which are stocked at Cult Beauty, so have a nose here – link.

The Morphe Brushes 11 Piece Sable Brush Set is a handy, versatile set that has a place in the kit of any make-up lover, from the very beginner who wants to invest in a decent set of start-up brushes, to the brush-obsessed who needs more quality in their kit, and even the professional who would like a set to travel with, this is a set that provides all of the above, thanks to a great selection of brushes for all the main brush needs, all of which are stored in a faux leather brush roll.

The brushes in the set are: Pointed Liner, Angle Liner, Concealer Brush, Pencil Brush, Tapered Blender, Round Blender, Angle Blush/Contour, Foundation Brush, Bronzer Brush, Duo Foundation Brush and Powder Brush.  The powder brushes and eye brushes are particularly good, with the Pointed Liner being one of the best I’ve tried – it’s extremely skinny yet firm, so you can get a really good line when combined with powder eyeshadow.

When my set arrived, I had to trim a few strays off, which unfortunately made the brushes look a bit poorly made and put me off at first, but I’m glad I persevered as they really are lovely.  The Concealer Brush is particularly handy for applying corrector as it lifts plenty of product and is flat enough to place it on top of what you want to correct, without blending it in too much.  I haven’t found much use for the Foundation Brush, but that’s mostly because I’m not really one for using those paddle-style foundation applicators, I tend to go for kabuki-style buffing instead.

The Morphe Brushes 11 Piece Sable Brush Set will set you back £31.50 which is extremely good value for a set of 11 brushes – taking the brush role out of the equation completely, that’s less than £3 a brush which you would struggle to find elsewhere, even in the really good budget brush ranges.  As Morphe Brushes singles seem to be around the £8 – £15 mark, this also demonstrates the level of value in this great little kit, which you can find at Cult Beauty here – link.
