I’ve become a bit neglectful of my eye area lately, using my face cream as a quick afterthought to moisturise the area rather than using anything separate, but when I’m short of sleep or feeling a little rundown, the Elemis Pro-Radiance Illuminating Eye Balm has come in very handy.
As the name suggests, it’s a skincare/makeup hybrid; basically a tinted under eye treatment with a cold, chrome applicator, meaning it performs several duties in one; the serum illuminates and hydrates, the tint lightly masks any red or purple tones and the applicator cools any puffiness. On days when I don’t need a lot of help, just something to give a bit of life to the under eye area, I use this alone, but if I’m really struggling then I use this as a base for concealer, it works just as well either way. Two things to note: firstly, it’s quite a runny liquid so it’s easy to over-apply, therefore I recommend squeezing the right amount on to the applicator first before working it on to the skin, and secondly it becomes quite difficult to get out of the tube after the first few uses as you really have to squeeze and push, yet it’s runny, so if you over-squeeze and over-push then you’ll end up with a big ol’ mess. It’s a bit of a knack but nothing too troublesome. It’s definitely a good product that does all the things it says it does in a lovely, cooling applicator. It’s £34 here – link.
