If you’ve left your Summer holiday beauty shopping until the last minute, need a complete restock for the warmer months of just fancy indulging in some new and pampering products, have I got the gift set for you! You’ll have to forgive me as I’m late to the party with this as it was a Boots special deal last month, but it’s still available at the Sanctuary online store now, so if you’re quick you can snag one of the remaining few.
The set really is “Summer in a Bag”, containing everything you need, just add some SPFs and a pair of decent sunglasses and you are good to go – literally, you even get one of the Penguin’s Top 10 Summer Reads included! You also get a really decent beach bag that’s big and easy to carry, nine Sanctuary Spa products and one St Tropez product too – you’ll be beach-prepped in no time.
The shower products included are a full-sized Cooling Shower Drench (250ml), a mini Cleansing Burst Body Wash (75ml), a mini Gentle Polish Body Scrub (50ml) and a sachet of the Ultimate Salt Scrub. I like how you’re given the option of a large or small body wash depending on your travelling preference – I personally would take the Cooling Shower Drench, since it sounds like an amazing way to finish a day in the hot sun.
Next are the finishing products, which focus on hydration. There’s a full size Cooling Body Sorbet (200ml) which matches the Cooling Shower Drench and I’m guessing would perform a similar task to an Aftersun. Next is the handbag essential, the Velvety Hand Cream (30ml) plus a mini Silky Smooth Body Lotion (75ml) and the final product in the range of hydrators is the Intensive Heel Balm (75ml) which is the sort of product that would easily be missed in a pre-Summer essentials list, but a good foot cream is a must if you’re planning to show your feet.
The Moisture Burst Facial Wash (100ml) in an interesting inclusion in the bag as I’m not sure how it fits in with the “travel essentials” theme, other than the fact that if you’ve overdone it in the sun, you’ll need a light and hydrating wash rather than anything too harsh or overly cleansing. The final products is the St Tropez Gradual Tan in Medium/Dark, which is a fab inclusion as it’ll allow you to add a bit of colour so you don’t stand out on the beach.
