If you follow me on Insta’ (here I am!) then you’ll know that I recently attended an amazing masterclass hosted by L’Oreal Paris and Val Garland. It was such a fantastic event and I did a little “come with me” video if you fancy finding out more about it. At the event, we were all given a beautiful bag of L’Oreal Paris newness, so today I’m giving you a closer look at all the recent launches, along with swatches and my personal review. All the shoppable images above will take you to either Boots or Superdrug, both of which are currently running a 3for2 promo over all the featured products.

I’m kicking off with the Lumi Glotion (£11.99) which I think has been out for a little while, and comes in four shades. It has several uses; you can prime skin for that “lit from within” glow, you can use it on bare skin for some serious glow, or you can use it as a highlighter to add a bit of glow wherever you like. It also mixes well with other products – both skincare and makeup – making it a really versatile product.

The swatches go from light to dark: Fair Glow, Light Glow, Medium Glow, Dark Glow.
It’s interesting that Light Glow, when blended in, pretty much disappears into my skin tone making it a very natural colour choice for me. However, I love me a cool tone so I tend to favour the pinky glow of Fair Glow, which I like to mix with my foundation. This was an extremely popular product on socials and I can totally see why, but for me, it isn’t really something I would regularly reach for as I prefer to add highlighter to certain areas on my face, and for this I prefer a formula that’s a bit easier to control. I will be saving this for my holiday though!

Next are the very exciting Le Shadow Sticks (£9.99) which are available in a variety of shades and finishes: there are currently 10 shades, with matte or shimmery finishes, and within the shimmery finishes are a couple of foil-like finishes too. The formula is incredibly creamy and buttery, so application is very easy, then once applied and blended they set and stay put.

Left shot in cool light, right shot in warm light.
From top to bottom: Mesmerising Gold, Twinkly Rose, Ice Sparkle, Alluring Rose, Magnetic Mauve, Foiled Copper, Metallic Bronze, Cloudy Rose, Magnetic Bronze and Brown Abyss.
I absolutely love these and I hope they add lots more shades, although the existing shade range is actually really solid, with a good mix of warm and cool tones, plus I love that there are a trio of metallic shimmers (top three swatches) as well as some solid deeper shades. This is just an all-round, really good launch that I think a lot of people will love, particularly since the formula holds up really well against similar products that paved the way from brands such as Bobbib Brown and Laura Mercier.

I think the Plump Ambition Lip Oils (£11.99) are likely to be generating a lot of excitement, as the enthusiasm for lip oils in general doesn’t seem to be showing any signs of easing up! These lip oils are currently available in nine shades and the formula has an additive designed to encourage lip plumping, so expect a mentholy/minty tingle – weirdly, this is not mentioned on the blurb on Boots so I think people might get caught off-guard when they think they’re just getting a regular lip oil!

From left to right: Cristal Clear, Nude Macaron, Worth It, Latte Glace, Rouge in Love, Cherry Cherie, Berry Jolie, Wine O’Clock and La Nuit Sparkle.
I really feel the packaging is giving Dior, what do you think? Especially the Cristal Clear shade! The packaging somehow manages to dull the shades which is a shame as the colour range is actually really good. I personally like both Worth It and Rouge in Love, which are both very pretty. I’m not a big fan of products that contain lip plumping ingredients, but thankfully these are mild enough so it’s just a bit of a tingle at the start that quickly goes away.

The Lumi Le Liquid Blush (£9.99) is a liquid blusher with a doe-foot applicator that is currently available in six shades, all of which are glowy in finish. What’s especially interesting about this launch is that the colour range seems to be aimed at more darker skin tones, which is fab (and so rare as a starting point for a launch!) but I do hope they add some more shades soon; I would especially love some paler pinks, peaches and nudes.

From left to right: Glowy Gold Pink, Glowy Rouge Paris, Glowy Warm Peach, Glowy True Rose, Glowy Worth It Medium and Glowy Cool Berry.
Yet again, L’Oreal Paris are spot-on with their formula as this blends incredibly, possibly better than any liquid blush I’ve tried. I usually struggle with liquid blushes going patchy and looking obvious, but these ones just diffuse into the skin so effortlessly, leaving a dewy (not glittery) glow. I really like shade Glowy Gold Pink, which is very NARS Orgasm in both colour and finish.

The Lumi Le Glass Sticks (£11.99) are currently available in two shades and are cream highlighters in stick form. They are extremely versatile and can be used all over the face and body, and you can apply with your finger, a brush or directly from the stick.

From top to bottom: Pearl Eclat and Pink Ballet.
I am completely obsessed with these and they are my absolutely favourite from all the new launches. They’re designed to give skin that “glass like” sheen and they achieve that perfectly, making skin glow without any greasiness or heavy shimmer. I love both shades, and when I want a quick makeup look I use these as a traditional highlighter on my cheeks and brow bone, then I use them in the centre of the eyes and lips too. I am such a fan and I want a pale, icy pink please L’Oreal!

Now on to the final two products! First up, the Infallible Brow Lamination (£11.99) which is another huge winner for me, as it really does give decent hold that you can build-up without creating a residue, then there is no white flakiness either, so it’s just a really solid product that behaves exactly as you want it to.
The Paradise Big Deal Black Mascara (£12.99) is designed to provide a very buildable mascara, so you can add as many coats as you like without clumping. I’m in the minority as I couldn’t get this mascara to work for me; it builds beautifully, but I had a real issue with flakiness which was such a shame! I will point out that I often have these types of issues with mascaras when nobody else does, so it might just be me and my weird eyes.
Are you as impressed as I am with all the new makeup launches from L’Oreal Paris? I feel like 2025 is going to be their year!
