I have a bit of a strange relationship with facial sprays as, unless it’s an extremely hot day and I’m in desperate need of some quick cooling, I don’t actually like the sensation of spraying something ice cold on to my face, yet I can’t recall the last time I had a routine that didn’t feature at least one facial spray, so that’s weird, right? I think it’s the psychology of it, as I like the idea of a product being carefully placed on my skin in the form of a gentle spraying, but I’m probably over-thinking this…
I say ‘four more’ sprays because I have previously written a feature on sprays here. I seriously can’t get enough of them. The four I’m sharing with you today have mostly been talked about in other posts, but I thought it’d be nice to do a neat little run-through starting with Serozinc from La Roche-Posay which I’ve discussed in my most recent love list here. I use this in the morning and evening after cleansing, and I also use it just before I do my evening routine too. I really do feel like it keeps my skin calmer and stops spots getting too angry, and I just find it generally very soothing. It’s £8.50 here – link.
The Murad Hydating Toner is another product I’ve raved about and I use it as both a spray directly on to my face and as a wipe off toner if I need to feel something a little more hydrating. I really like the fact that it balances PH and I reach for this the most when my skin is leaning towards dehydrated and dry. It’s £23 here – link.
The Trilogy Hydrating Mist Toner is one of those products that feels utterly gorgeous on the skin – it’s such a fine mist and it’s great for skin that’s prone to feeling tight and parched; if I’ve overdone it with cleansing or my skin is feeling tight post-shower then this mist is the perfect antidote. Having said that, I use it quite sparingly as I’m not totally convinced that using it a lot doesn’t make my breakouts worse, but using it here and there doesn’t seem to cause any problems; its’ definitely one for those with normal to dry skin types. It’s £17.50 here – link.
Finally, another rose based toner, although this one I use on a daily basis, which is the Melvita Organic Rose Beauty Mist. It’s an interesting product as it’s in a pressurised container (think hairspray) so it comes out almost as a splash of well placed water rather than a mist, which doesn’t sound good but it definitely works wonders on my skin, leaving it feeling plump and hydrated. I give skin a good spray of this before immediately following with my moisturiser as I find this gives my moisturiser a lot more slip and movement, meaning skin gets nicely nourished without feeling overloaded. It’s a bargain at £10 here – link.

I adore sprays and for me it is about the sensation that I love ;). I’ve never tried the Trilogy spray but I know I’d love it. There isn’t much Trilogy I don’t like (actually I can’t think of any Trilogy product I don’t). Rose is a firm favourite and lavender takes me back to when my son was born -it calmed my nerves as a new mum! Great review. Tx
I completely agree; Trilogy make some amazing stuff don’t they? I can’t think of anything I’ve tried from them that I haven’t really enjoyed using, especially their Softening Lotion which is just gorgeous xx
