Tomorrow we’re getting an awesome QVC TSV from one of my favourite brands, bareMinerals, and this set is so lovely that it’s the perfect last minute gift for any make-up/beauty/bareMinerals addicts. The bareMinerals Chandelight Glow set contains seven products, all of which are in gentle, glow-enhancing shades that will make for the prettiest look when all used together, or can be added to existing looks for a little bit of extra glow. The most interesting product, for me, is the Chandelight Glow Illuminator, which I think is a new product for the brand; it’s a solid gel highlighter that dries to a powder finish. It’s a little on the shimmery side, so probably best suited to night time wear, but it’s extremely pretty and very, very flattering.
You also get a pot of the Original SPF15 Foundation, and I’m pleased to note that you can pick your shade from a decent line-up of nine shades: Fair, Fairly Light, Light, Medium, Medium Beige, Medium Tan, Tan, Golden Dark and Medium Dark. Continuing the glow theme, you get a Loose Blush in the Sweet Romance shade. If you’re nervous about loose products, now is a good time to point out that there’s been a huge improvement on the packaging, which now contains a twist lid internally that you can close after each use, so there’s no spillage and nasty surprise when you go to use it again. This has been applied to the foundation and blush, but not the Loose Eye Colour in Nightfall, which is a bit of a shame! Nightfall is a handy shade that can be sheered out to a subtle finish, built-up for a stronger hit of colour or used wet for a foil-effect or tidy line.
I forgot how blimin’ gorgeous the Lasting Line Long Wearing Eyeliners are, and I’m pleased that they’ve included a shade that isn’t traditional black in the kit, having instead gone Forever Brandy, which is a browny black shade that keeps in theme with the gentle, glowy finish of the rest of the products. The Lash Domination 10 in 1 Volumising Mascara completes the eye look and finally the Marvellous Moxie Buttercream Lipgloss in Sassy Sorbet completes the entire look, the latter of which is a mid-tone pink that should suit most colourings. This is a truly fabulous set that can be dipped into (for example, use the Glow Illuminator, mascara and lipgloss for a quick and pretty look) or used in full, depending on what you fancy. It’s going to be £39.96 (plus £4.95 p+p) and is the QVC TSV for 13th December 2015, so do tune in from midnight…or, if you’re eager, it’s actually online already here – link!

I’m really looking forward to trying the new Chandlelight glow illuminator, I’ve ordered the gold version from QVC America. I’m a huge fan of BareMinerals!
Me too! I love everything they do other than their original powder foundations, funnily enough!
I have their ready foundation but it doesn’t look right on me despite having the correct shade! I also love the Complexion rescue for when I want a lighter look. I’m a huge fan of illuminators, and am looking forward to trying out the Chandlelight glow in the two colours I have. I’ve just discovered that they also do it in coral, and bronze as well as the luminous pink, and gold ones! It’s a pity that we don’t seem to have the same products as they do in the states, they have so many lovely things to choose from, and much cheaper too!
That is so true, and I think that’s the case for a lot of brands – for some reason they seem to get a lot more in the States than we do, which is both strange and annoying!
