Now the temperatures are dropping, it’s time to increase the hydration level provided by the products you use on your body skin, to keep it feeling smooth and supple. Dove are one of my favourite body care brands as I always reach for products that offer the promise of hydration as I don’t ever think you can overdo it with when it comes to moisturising your body. For their price point, I struggle to find a better range than Dove, and I especially rate their deodorants.
The Dove Nourishing Care range is built around the concept of hydrating skin with Argan Oil without leaving a residue, and all three products achieve this. The Beauty Cream Bar is what I’m using as a hand soap at the moment, mainly because it gives a really lush, rich lather that leaves hands feeling noticeably hydrated. Obviously it’s suitable for use in the bath or shower too, but I prefer it for the hands. I can’t seem to find this particular Beauty Cream Bar anywhere online for some reason, so I’ll update with a link as soon as I have one.
The two main shower products in the range are the Dove Nourishing Care Shower Oil and the Dove Nourishing Care & Oil Body Wash, the latter of which is my personal favourite of the two. Starting with the Shower Oil, which is a perfect example of a body product punching above it’s price point as it’s easily as good as many of the luxury shower oils. It’s hydrating and feels luxurious, yet it’s still light and doesn’t leave a film, instead leaving skin feeling wonderfully hydrated. I really love a good Dove Body Wash and the Nourishing Care & Oil Body Wash is absolutely lovely – it’s fuss-free, gentle, thoroughly moisturising and just fragranced enough so that it smells gorgeous whilst you use it, but doesn’t interfere with perfume. It lathers into a big, fat creamy mound of soap that feels particularly fabulous when used with an exfoliating sponge, and all this joy for just £2.65…or even cheaper, as Boots currently have it for a rather purse-friendly £1.25 here – link – whilst the aforementioned shower oil is £4.99 here – link.
