The arrival of these four gorgeous Pixi mists evoked considerable excitement because I love Pixi, but more specifically I love Pixi skincare and their mists are speedily becoming essentials for all skincare-lovers, so I couldn’t have been happier to have such a great selection to play with! There are five mists available from Pixi; Vitamin Wakeup Mist, Glow Mist, Makeup Fixing Mist, Hydrating Milky Mist and finally the new Sun Mist, the latter of which is an SPF mist – SPF facial sprays are really having a moment this year, so it’s great that there’s one in the Pixi mist collection.
Where do I begin? Honestly, just writing about these beauties fills me with excitement! The Makeup Fixing Mist is the perfect product for those who want something to add a bit of hold on their makeup, but don’t want enough that’ll feel too hairspray-like on the skin; I often hear of people complaining that they can feel their makeup setting spray as like a bit of a film, but this one from Pixi will just add a little grip without anything else. It also smells lovely and feels so light, so it’s especially well suited to anyone with dryer skin. It’s £16 here – link.
The Vitamin Wakeup Mist is one of the ones I use most as it really is great on days where I’ve had to pile on the makeup and need something to add a bit of life back into my skin. It’s also great for good skin days when I’m applying some basic make-up and wanting to add a natural glow that just leaves skin looking pepped-up. I also find this really balancing, soothing, calming and flattering, which is why I use it so much, I just like to use it as a finisher as it’s just a pleasure to use! It’s £16 here – link.
The Glow Mist is what started the whole Pixi Mist excitement and I remember being blown away by it when I first used it at it’s original launch. The Pixi Glow range is absolutely stellar, with the cleanser, toner and mist all being products that really do give skin the promised glow. Glow Mist is a perfect intro to the range of both Glow products and mists, so if you’re unsure where to start, pick up a bottle of Glow Mist that works as a toner, facial spray and setting spray. It’s actually sold out (figures) but when it’s back in stock, it’s £16 here – link.
Finally, the Hydrating Milky Mist is another of my faves (I use this and the Vitamin Wakeup Mist the most) as it’s great at adding just a touch more hydration, be that after applying skincare, make-up, post-mask or whenever you need a little more help with moisture. All of the Pixi mists are great for layering and work well within long and/or detailed skin routines, plus they all also sit well on top of make-up. The Hydrating Milky Mist is probably the most dense of the four, but it’s still very light and makes a very noticeable difference. It’s £18 here – link.
