Eurgh, it has been a horrible few weeks with Teddy struggling to shake that horrid cold (it’s lasted almost a month!) so we’ve been in and out of the Doctor’s surgery and Teddy has had to take quite a bit of time of school. Not fun! Thankfully (touch wood) he finally seems better and, apart from a bit of a bunged up nose and the occasional cough, he seems brighter, so hopefully we can all start getting back to normal – a month is a long time to endure broken sleep! With the sudden drop in temperature everywhere, everyone seems to be picking up these bugs, but one good thing about the darker evenings is that it’s officially candle weather! I was kindly sent a few bits from Hanna Rose, the creator of Handmade Vegan Soy Wax candles that she sells on her Etsy store.
What’s really cute about the candles Hanna makes is that they’re quirky and a bit different, with many housed in attractive cups or prettily designed Wax Melts – I’m actually a really big fan of melts as I think, when paired with a wax melting device, they’re a great way of enjoying the experience of a candle without involving a flame. I was always nervous about using candles when Teddy was smaller, so using a Wax Melt is a great alternative. Hannah offers a massive range of fragrances (including some popular perfume scents – so great for Christmas gifts!) but she also designs make-up brush in the prettiest designs, so there are lots of extremely well-priced Christmas gift ideas to be found at her store, all of which you can check out here – link. With the price point being around £10 for the cup candles and around £3 for the Wax Melts – plus a special mention for the glorious looking glitter candle in the Collab section!
