The Vichy Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Acid Booster is such an iconic product that it spawned an entire line of fabulously hydrating products to suit every skincare need. I thought I’d have a quick look at the whole range so you can find your perfect Mineral 89 routine!
Obviously we have to kick things off with the icon that is the Vichy Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Acid Booster; available in two sizes, this lightweight gel-serum quickly developed a cult following due to it’s ability to add a big hit of hydration to all skin types, without causing any additional issues such as breakouts. It slots into all routines and can be used in both the AM and the PM. I also find it gentle enough for adding a touch more hydration around the delicate eye area too.
The Vichy Mineral 89 Probiotic Serum is the perfect choice if you’ve been overdoing the acids, neglecting your skin or just need a little help with barrier repair, as it’s a great mix of vitamins, antioxidants and probiotic fractions that help to repair, regulate and calm stressed skin. You don’t have to have stressed skin to use this though, as it’s such a lovely collection of skincare goodies housed in the Volcanic Mineralizing Water that gives the Mineral 89 range it’s name.
Next is my favourite product from the range, the Vichy Mineral 89 Hyaluronic Eyes Hyaluronic Acid Eye Fortifier, which takes everything I love from the original HA Booster, and puts it in an eye-friendly format. This is a hydrating, lightweight gel that absorbs quickly, leaving a plump canvas for makeup application. It works really well with other eye products too, if you’re like me and a fan of layering.
The gorgeously textured Vichy Mineral 89 100H Hyaluronic Acid Rich Hydrating Cream promises a huge drink of long-lasting hydration that’s particularly well suited to those with very dry or dehydrated skin. It contains Niacinamide, so I wasn’t able to try it myself beyond a quick application on my hands, but the texture and luxurious feel was very appealing – gutted I couldn’t use it on my face!
The final product is the Vichy Mineral 89 Fortifying Recovery Mask, which is a cleverly designed sheet mask that arrives in two sachets that need to be combined. The formula of the essence that the sheet mask is soaked in is also wonderfully simple, with just a really good mix of hydrators and soothers that’ll leave skin feeling calm and refreshed.
