Eagle-eyed readers will know that I haven’t actually done one of my love lists for quite some time; in fact February was my last one, and the reason for that is because I started to find it a bit tedious, and it’s my belief that blogging should never feel like that. It’s only recently that I’ve started putting together a love list in my head again so I thought I’d start them up again. Therefore, here are five products I’ve loved using in July.
I banged on ab0ut this in my skincare post, so I don’t need to launch into another rave about how much I love this beautifully scented toner. There’s no hiding the fact that I’m a bit Elemis obsessed at the moment, but even after a good 6 weeks of use, I still really look forward to using this toner which is really saying something.
Pur Correcting Primer – Redness Reducer
This is another product that I’m not going to go into too much detail about, mainly because I’m putting together a feature on colour correcting products, but at the moment, out of the small collection of green primers I’ve recently amassed, this is the one I reach for the most.
Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer
This is a great example of a product that you’d never think you’d need until you tried it, then you’d wonder why everyone isn’t using it. It’s as it sounds; a hydrating base that softens and smooths the under-eye area, ensuring it’s ready for make-up. It contains all sorts of goodies that my delicate skin drinks up and welcomes, making this a total investment buy.
Superdry Rapture Pink Colour Blush
This is the pink for people who can’t wear pink! It’s a very easy, gentle pink that adds a flush rather than a saturation and looks amazingly natural. Soon I’ll be publishing a list of blushers that I think work best at lifting and warming the complexion without screaming ‘make-up’, and this is the one I currently reach for the most.
Avon True Colour 8in1 Eyeshadow Palette
My obsession with this stunner of a nude edit continues. Eight gorgeous shades, suitable for all and flattering on everyone, how could i not obsess over this? How I feel about this palette is similar to how I felt about the Bobbi Brown Ultra Nude palette; every day was a new combination and it became a must-use palette for months on end. Avon’s take on this type of palette contains more shades and costs considerably less, making it a total winner for me.
There we have my July love list! It’s extremely make-up heavy, but I’m having such a love affair with make-up in general at the moment that this will no doubt continue into the next month.
