Jo Malone London Rain

I absolutely love the concept behind the newest launch from Jo Malone, London Rain.  The idea is that there is nothing more British than London rain (which is less appropriate today, but is certainly accurate for most of this year so far) and the collection of four colognes are designed to capture the different moods of a downpour.

The four fragrances available are: Rain & Angelica, Wisteria & Violet, White Jasmine & Mint and Black Cedarwood & Juniper.  They all sound so fresh and interesting that I can’t wait to put my nose through its paces when these arrive on the 1st March 2014.  I’m most interested in Rain & Angelica as that sounds to me the most ‘out there’ and probably the most effective at capturing the theme of the fragrance sets, but I could just be heavily influenced by the fact that it contains the word “rain”.  Regular readers will know that I do adore Jasmine, so I’m eager to find out how well it blends with mint; I would imagine that’s quite a lovely pairing as long as the mint is the sort of scent you get when you pick up a handful of freshly picked mint leaves rather than a handful of Polos…

Each of the four colognes will be priced at £82 for 100ml.  I’ve just noticed that Selfridges appear to have early stock here – link.
