Last week I had pretty nasty man-flu (bad cold and a slight temperature) which has taken it’s toll on my skin, which, by the end of the week, was dry, dull and a little broken out. I’ve never used Guinot products before but I have heard of them and they’ve got such a great name, so I thought the Masque Essentiel Nutrition Confort was worth a shot to try and correct and balance my flu-battered skin.
The Guinot Masque Essentiel Nutrition Confort is unlike anything I’ve tried previously as it’s a creamy, non-drying clay aimed at boosting radiance and adding hydration. As you can see in the image, it’s a thick, opaque and smooth mask and I really like the fact that it has a clay feel to it, but it doesn’t dry, meaning that when it comes to removal you’re not in for a battle. Interestingly, when you remove it it feels a lot like a more typical hydrating mask, but the best part is that it leaves skin looking extremely hydrated, smooth, plump and glowy, so I can understand why it’s so popular! I was sent this alongside the Creme Hydra Beaute which is a really lovely moisturiser which I’ll be reviewing in more detail soon, so keep your eyes peeled for that. The Guinot Masque Essentiel Nutrition Confort is usually around the £25 mark, but it’s currently reduced here – link – at £22.19.
