Since it’s national coffee day today (my favourite drink) I thought it would be a good time to review a product for addressing teeth staining, since coffee is one of the worst drinks for causing stains. My quest for brighter, whiter teeth continues and I’ve been trying a few different toothpastes lately, one of which is from Blanx, a brand who host a good selection of whitening toothpastes at varying levels of toughness, depending on your needs. I must confess, I’ve been an on-and-off long-term fan of Blanx as I like their products; whilst they don’t produce startling whitened teeth, they’re gentle and non-abrasive, so ideal for sensitive teeth or those who don’t like the idea of harsher products.
I’ve been using the Blanx Intense Stain Removal Toothpaste for a while now, and it’s a very mild-tasting, gentle product that leaves teeth feeling clean, bright and smooth. I’d say it’s a particularly good choice for smokers or tea drinkers, although I wouldn’t say it’s particularly effective at deep stain removal. I like the fact that it isn’t overwhelmingly minty; there’s a minty taste there, but it isn’t strong, instead it just tastes fresh and clean. It isn’t cheap at £6.30, but it does feel like you get what you pay for as the formula is a very gentle yet effective, light stain remover, so if you’re just looking for something to polish and brighten your existing teeth colour, this is a great choice.
