A few weeks ago, I posted about the awesome Cult Beauty Palette Party which so many of you got involved with, as did I – it was a really great deal with lots of amazing palettes receiving a 20% discount, and to be honest, my only regret was not picking up a couple of others. Having said that, I did pick a good’n, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette, which is a prettily packaged product with some gorgeously inviting shades.
The term “soft glam” really sucked me in, as I love a glamorous eye, but I literally never have the opportunity to go all out with kohl and smokiness, so something that promise a soft glam look that I could get away with during the day is definitely something I need. The palette is presented a soft suede-like material that works really well with the soft glam vibe. In the palette you’ll find 14 shades in various tones and finishes, plus a double-ended brush.
When I first cracked open the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette, I was a little unsure where to start. I like mostly cooler colours, but this is quite warm, with a lot more orange than I was expecting. However, the orange shades are nowhere near as ‘Tango’ on the eye as they look in the palette, and I’m actually surprised by how often I’m reaching for them. In fact, my go to look starts with Tempera as a base shade, Orange Soda as a transition, Rustic on the crease, Cyprus Umber on the outer corner and either Bronze or Fairy on the rest of the eyelid. This look is very wearable for day-to-day soft glam, yet still gives really good definition and makes my blue eyes pop, if I do say so myself…
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette is a really lovely, everyday palette that I’m very pleased I added to my collection. As I said, I was a little uncertain at first, but I’m definitely a convert, and whilst I wouldn’t say it’s my favourite palette of all time, it’s one I can see myself reaching for again and again, as is the case right now. I think it’s a particularly lovely palette for Summer eye looks as it’s bright and cheery, although there are some deeper, murkier shades to take it into more Autumnal looks too. It’s £43 here – link – which is a lot actually, and I’m not sure I’d have stretched to full price, but having said that, getting it with a discount really did feel like a bargain.

Great post – the pigments in this palette looks amazing! 🙂 I think my favorite shade would have to be either Sultry or Bronze… Thanks for sharing!
