The Birchbox May 2020 comes presented in a gorgeous little metal tin, that’s so pretty and very much in keeping with the “Blooming Lovely” theme. I always find uses for these boxes – the last one I received I used as a travel container for medical bits and bobs when I go on holiday as they’re so sturdy and very handy.
The Birchbox May 2020 contents consists of five products that all fit neatly into the box, as you can see in the image above; I always wonder if the products are selected and then strategically fitted into the box, or if the box contents is built around fitting everything in and planning the contents accordingly…I may have too much time on my hands.
The five products included are:
Manna Kadar Bloom Mascara in Hot Pink or Cool Aqua – I got the latter; confusingly, the colour only relates to the packaging and not the mascara itself, which is jet black.
Grace & Stella Rose Water Facial Mist – an old school style spray-on toner consisting of rose water and glycerin.
Absolute New York Blush Balm in Girls Night Out – this is my favourite product in the box, as it’s the one thing I’m likely to use most.
BeautyPro Rose Infused Sheet Mask – I have a love/hate relationship with sheet masks and my skin often reacts to anything rose-based, so I don’t know whether this will get used.
Sunny Isle Black Caster Oil Eyelash and Eyebrow Growth Serum – this came in a box with a mascara wand, but unfortunately the bottle leaked oil everywhere, so it had to go in the bin, sadly.
Overall I really like the May 2020 Birchbox; I like the fact that the contents are quite simple and almost traditional, so this would make a lovely gift. Find it here – link.
