Another focus on a specific shade of a product today, but this time it’s an eye shadow palette; one of the seven variants of Rimmel Glam Eyes Trio in the shade collection called Tempting. Tempting is a green themed edit with two shades of green and one ivory shade for highlight and contour. I don’t think I’ve ever used a green eyeshadow on myself in my entire life, but recently I’ve started to try and be a bit more experimental with shades so I thought it was about time I tried a green eye.
I’m so happy I did, because I really like it! Tempting is thankfully a very gentle take on green shades, and doesn’t overwhelm the eye with colour, yet it’s still strong enough to pack a punch. The two shades of green are a dark forest green and a pale emerald green. I used the forest shade as my main colour all over the eye, with a little of the emerald shade closer to the inner eyes. I then blended the crease down with the ivory shade. These colours can be dressed down with a nude lip, or if you’re feeling brave, they look amazing with a bright creamy red lip such as the Glo Minerals one I reviewed yesterday.
The eyeshadows themselves are a lovely formula that are easy to work with, contain just the right amount of shimmer, and blend down like a dream, so if you’re a bit rubbish at application or fearful of colour, these Galm Eyes trios are a safe bet to start with, especially as there are some seriously pretty colour combinations. They’re available now, retailing for £6.49 and more info can be found from the Rimmel site.
