Nails Inc Daisy Lane Floral

I remember hearing about the Nails Inc Florals a while back and thinking that I couldn’t wait to try them; they reminded me of the OPI Minnie Mouse heart polish that I never managed to get my hands on, so when the Nails Inc Easter promo started, I stocked up on the polishes I’d been most keen to try which included the Daisy Lane Floral shade.

Nails Inc Daisy Lane Floral is a clear base with white and pink specks and white, red and pink flowers.  It takes a bit of getting used to to apply as you have to scoop the flowers out.  It isn’t the sort of design that lends itself to perfectly applied nail art and instead looks better slightly scattered and natural.

I’ve put it over a mid pink, a black and a white to give you an idea of how it looks over different shades.  My favourite is the black, which is also the brightest and has the most impact, but the pink is a good shade too.  White is extremely subtle, but I quite like that, especially if you’re able to get some of the red and pink flowers on to the nail.

This isn’t a long-term look manicure as the flowers are too thick to lay flat so they’re likely to catch on things, but it’s a very pretty effect for a special occasion or the weekend.  There are five shades in the Floral range including the web exclusive of Floral Street Mews – link – which is next on my list of ones to try as I think this floral effect works really well with blue tones.  The Daisy Lane Floral is available now for £12 here – link.

I’ve been umming and aahing over these for a while and have been waiting to see a swatch like this. They are little bit too girly for me.
    Thanks for sharing

It is quite girly, although it could be ‘edged up’ with darker shades. I know what you mean though! xx

[…] Gardens and in fairness I actually found this easier to do this time than I did with Daisy Lane (review posted here), so maybe it’s a genuine case of practice making perfect, but again, you need some patience […]
