Three Superbly Soothing Serums for Stressed Out Skin

Soothing Serums

Okay, I had far too much fun coming up with that title for this post.  Anyway…I have a theory that sensitivity is a lot like dehydration, in that it’s something that can impact all skin types at one point or another.  I have skin that now leans combination/dry, but if I’m stressed, tired, hormonal or all of the above, my skin will have a little tantrum where it becomes very sensitive, reactive, and in need of soothing products and a bit of time out.  I’ve tried lots of different products to help me when my skin becomes inflamed, here are my favourite three:

Soothing Serums - Omorovicza Gold Flash Serum

Starting at the very top of the price point with the gorgeous Omorovicza Gold Flash Firming Serum, which was first used on me during an amazing facial at the Four Seasons and I’ve been hooked ever since.  Skin that needs a lot of TLC could definitely use this as a daily serum, but I keep it in my kit for days when little else is working, as it’s lightly hydrating, very soothing and it just seems to settle my skin right down after a single use.  It’s £140 here – link.

Soothing Serums - Paula's Choice Calm Serum

If your skin looks as bad as it feels and you need relief FAST, the Paula’s Choice Redness Relief Calm Serum will sooth both the way skin and feels and the way it looks too, addressing the redness and tightness, quickly and effectively, leaving skin feeling calm, soothed and gently hydrated without any fuss.  It’s £32 here – link.

Soothing Serums - Alpha H Vitamin E

Finally, the Alpha-H Vitamin E Serum gets lots of love on here because it’s such a wonderful product for treating stressed out skin.  If you’ve ever experienced truly upset skin that feels like everything you’re doing is making it worse, step right up this beautiful Vitamin E product that’ll quietly sooth, calm and heal, taking away the tightness, the stinging and some of the redness too.  It’s such a kind and gentle product that feels minimal and effective, so I’ll always reach for it when my skin has got so bad that it needs the softest touch.  It’s £29 here – link.
