Now THIS is one helluva bargain: the Smashbox Create & Transform Masterclass Palette is a gorgeous collection of fun and inspiring make-up that’ll get your creative juices flowing. It’s clearly been designed to encourage as much “make-up play” as possible, and there are more than 76 (!!) different eyeshadow possibilities, alongside 18+ lip combos, plus the basics of blush, highlight and contour are covered too – I also have to give all the love to the presentation, which is creatively encouraging in itself!
As you can see, the palette comes in the style of a book, so there are two palettes on each side of the book that can then be closed for easy travel/storing. When flat, you’re presented with all four palettes that you can then remove at your leisure, so each row of products can be individually transported.
Honestly, this is just such a fun product and I can’t wait to get stuck-in! I literally got this yesterday and the promotion starts today, so I wanted to get the post up ASAP so you guys can take advantage as I would guess this is going to be very popular. Also, how amazing would this be as a Christmas present? Let’s take a closer look at the four sections:
First up at the top (although you can move them all around if you want the order to be different) we have the Eyeshadows, which are a great mix of shades from pale and dark staples, a couple of earthy tones, some beautiful jewel tones and some great smoky numbers too.
Here’s where it gets really interesting; the Transformers are designed to add that play element, as their suggested use is on top of the original eyeshadow line-up in the row above, with one suggestion being that you apply the transformer over a smoky eye to add an additional dimension of colour – how blimin’ brilliant does that sound? When you read that, you can definitely see how the playful side of things kick in and how many possibilities there are when you combine the first two rows.
Next is the Contour/Cheek row, which gives you a couple of good, solid blush colours, a contour powder, a bronzer and a highlighter – I’m am all over this row and I can see myself adding it to my everyday kit as the colours are such a great selection and I love the fact that they’re all right there in a neat little palette.
The final row is actually my least favourite, the Lipstick row, which might come as a shock as I love Smashbox lipsticks, but the reason is that there isn’t really anything in there that I’m drawn to, although I love the fact that the colours are all so different and vivid, which again allows for lots of experimental fun.
Ready yourself for this…you’re getting the whole lot for £35, which is fantastic value for a kit that is fantastically well designed, in every sense. This is one of those sets that I think you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again, and it’s especially handy for the party season when it’s always a good time to try something a bit more interesting with your make-up. This is a Boots Star Deal so it’ll only be available for 7 days at the special price before returning to £70, so move quickly if it’s something you fancy. You can find it here – link.
